KATHERINE GAME FISHING CLUB
GO HARD OR GO HOMEABOUT THE CLUB
The Katherine Game Fishing Club was Established in the late 1980’s by a group of likeminded fishermen and over the years has evolved into the well respected and high-profile club it is today.
The KGFC is home to the family-oriented Barramundi fishing competition: The Big Horse Creek Barra classic. Now in its 35th year.
The Katherine Game Fishing Club is a Volunteer run, community based amateur fishing club accommodating all levels of Anglers, with a primary focus on conservation of fish stocks through encouragement of catch & release strategies as well as growing and encouraging the next generation of junior anglers.
We are proud organisers of the following events:
- The Big Horse Creek Barra Classic (now in its 35th year)
- KGFC kids fishing day – Held every year with a primary focus of encouraging the next generation of anglers.
If you are new to the Katherine area and looking to get into fishing, then we highly encourage you to contact our friendly committee and become a member of our ever-growing club.
